Ryan Hope Travis is an award-winning filmmaker, theatremaker, actor, director, and writer based in north Florida. His body of work spans independent film creation to regional theater performance. He is the founder and lead maker of Arcable, a film and theatre production house dedicated to producing works of art rooted in social commentary.
Ryan is an Individual Artist Commission Recipient from the New York State Council on the Arts. The commissioned works, "A Shout In Salty Water" and "June 16," are part of a collection of one-man shows he calls The Father/Son Play Cycle.

Ryan is an assistant professor of theatre + performance at the University of Florida, and has taught acting and creative writing courses at Syracuse University, Florida State University, Colgate University, and Hobart and William Smith Colleges.
